Our vision is a world where human-computer interaction in the workplace is frictionless and painless. To achieve that, Artifix acts as a software immune system, proactively detecting IT issues and implementing an automatic solution where possible.

Currently, companies use either in-house or outsourced IT support services. When users face a computer issue (e.g. Outlook crashing, locked out of account, network problems, etc.) they raise a support ticket with their IT team to get the problem resolved. This is really inefficient. What if, instead, the user’s IT issue could be automatically detected and remedied? The user would instantly get back to work, without frustration, and the IT team wouldn’t have to deal with an unnecessary call-out.

My user interview research with companies across an array of different sectors (finance, business services, home interiors, rail, etc.) identified this as a repeated and burning problem. Users want their computers to “just work”, and IT want to focus on strategy and maintaining core systems – not firefighting desktop issues.

In the short term, Artifix will address easy-to-solve but high frustration IT issues, such as applications crashing, faulty hardware, printer issues, computer boot time and so on. However, the number of issues and types of issues that Artifix can address is truly limitless. In the future, as the data we accumulate increases, Artifix may employ machine learning to identify trends and complex issues in business IT environments. For example, if a certain set of issues occur in a 2-week period, it would recommend a specific hardware upgrade or software solution to permanently prevent the faults. Indeed, over time, Artifix could fully automate the work that IT support staff currently carry out manually.

I have already built up a growing list of potential customers who want to start using it immediately, and are willing to pay. Additionally, without actively seeking it, I have had significant investment interest from a number of well-established investors. But of course, I need a partner who will complete the team and enable us to fully execute on this vision.

That’s where you come in! I am looking for a co-founder with expertise in software engineering, specifically for Windows desktops (e.g. .NET / Java etc.). I need someone who can take a hands-on role in the technical development of the product. I’m looking for an equal partner with whom I can split 50:50. Our skills and expertise should of course complement each other. Whilst you lead on product, I will lead on customer development and sales. Once the team is confirmed, we will raise external investment from angel investors and/or an accelerator programme.

I have identified a core IT pain-point for small, medium and enterprise businesses. This is a multi-billion dollar problem. In solving it, we will be working on the cutting edge whilst simultaneously creating a commercially valuable application.

For the right person, this is a serious opportunity. We are an ambitious company with a big market. I’ve done a ton of leg-work over the past couple of months, refining and validating the idea with customers. Now we’re ready to build. We'll work hard, have fun and hopefully change the desktop experience forever.

If you are interested in anything about the above (co-found, develop, advise, discuss / be involved!), I'd love to hear from you. Find me on LinkedIn or please drop me your name and email using the form below and I'll get in touch:
